Mr. Shunichi Suzuki is the Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Financial Services in Japan. He previously served as Minister of the Environment and Minister in charge of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. In 1990, he was elected as a member of the House of Representatives, and has been elected 10 times since. He graduated in education from Waseda University. He was born in 1953. His birth place is in Iwate Prefecture of Japan.
Mark Carney
UN Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance / Chair for the Glasgow Finance Alliance for Net Zero
Mark Carney is currently the UN Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance and Chair for the Glasgow Finance Alliance for Net Zero, a practitioner-led coalition working to increase the financial sector’s ambition on climate change and accelerate the transition to a net-zero economy. Mark is a member of the Arnhold Distinguished Fellowship Program Board within Conservation International.
Mark was previously Governor of the Bank of England (from 2013 to 2020), and Governor of the Bank of Canada (from 2008 to 2013). Internationally, Mark was Chair of the Financial Stability Board (from 2011 to 2018), He chaired the Global Economy Meeting and Economic Consultative Committee of the Bank for International Settlements (from 2018-2020) and was First Vice-Chair of the European Systemic Risk Board (from 2013-2020).
Mark is also an external member of Stripe’s Board, a global technology company building economic infrastructure for the internet. He is Vice Chair of Brookfield Asset Management and a member of the Global Advisory Board of PIMCO, the Group of Thirty, the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, as well as the boards of Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Peterson Institute for International Economics and the Hoffman Institute for Global Business and Society at INSEAD.
Mark was born in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories, Canada in 1965. After growing up in Edmonton, Alberta, he obtained a bachelor degree in Economics from Harvard and masters and doctorate degrees in Economics from Oxford.
After a thirteen-year career with Goldman Sachs, Mark was appointed Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada in 2003. In 2004, he became Senior Associate Deputy Minister of Finance. He held this position until his appointment as Governor of the Bank of Canada in February 2008.
Hiromichi Mizuno

Mr. Mizuno is a Japanese financial executive, serving as the Special Envoy of U.N. Secretary-
General on Innovative Finance and Sustainable Investments since January 2021.
He previously served as Executive Management Director and CIO of GPIF (Government Pension
Investment Fund of Japan with AUM $1.5 trillion).
Prior to joining GPIF, Mr. Mizuno was a partner at Coller Capital, a London-based private equity
firm (January 2003 - January 2015). He formerly worked for Sumitomo Trust & Banking Co. Ltd. in
Japan, Silicon Valley and New York (April 1988 – January 2003).

Darian McBain
Chief Sustainability Officer, Monetary Authority of Singapore
Dr. Darian McBain is the Chief Sustainability Officer for the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Dr McBain has more than 20 years of deep experience in sustainability roles spanning across various sectors. Prior to this was most recently Global Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability in Thai Union Group, a leading global seafood supplier conglomerate. Dr McBain holds a PhD in social indicators for global supply chain analysis, MSc in Business Strategy, Politics and Environment, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental). She was named as a United Nations SDG Pioneer for a Sustainable Ocean Economy in 2021, and one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business 2020.
Her previous work includes serving as the Sustainable Procurement Lead for the UK’s National Health Service, advising the United Nations, working with WWF on palm oil and supply risk analysis, and heading her own strategy and sustainability consultancy. She is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer of Integrated Sustainability Analysis at the University of Sydney and is a published author and spokesperson on issues relating to sustainability, sustainable finance, business human rights and supply chains.
Darian’s work has been highly recognized. Tomoko Amaya
Vice Minister for International Affairs, the Financial Services Agency
Ms. Amaya is Vice Minister for International Affairs at Japan’s Financial Services Agency (JFSA) since July 2021. Prior to the current position, she served as Vice Commissioner for International Affairs
(2019-2021). She is a member of the Financial Stability Board (FSB) and the Basel Committee on
Banking Supervision (BCBS) representing the agency and serves as Co-Chair of the Supervisory
Cooperation Group (SCG) of BCBS.
Ms. Amaya joined the Ministry of Finance (MOF) in 1986 and has broad experience in financial
supervision and international financial regulations over her career at FSA and MOF. Her career at FSA
includes Deputy Secretary-General of Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission (SESC)
(2017-2019),Secretary General of Certified Public Accountants and Auditing Oversight Board
(CPAAOB) (2015-2017). Director for Market and Risk (2008-2010) and Director for International
Insurance Services (2002-2006). From 2013 to 2015, Ms. Amaya served as Senior Executive Director
at Deposit Insurance Corporation. She was also Visiting Professor at Graduate School of Public Policy,
the University of Tokyo in 2011-2013.
Ms. Amaya earned B.A. in Law at the University of Tokyo. She also finished Mid-Career Associate
Program, IR/PS at the University of California, San Diego.
Sonja Gibbs
Managing Director, Head of Sustainable Finance, Global Policy Initiatives, the Institute of International Finance (IIF)
Sonja leads the IIF’s work on sustainable finance and sovereign debt policy, focusing on research and advocacy for the Institute’s global membership across the financial services industry. Her research interests include the economic impact and financial market pricing of climate and ESG risks, debt sustainability and market development in emerging markets. She oversees the IIF Weekly Insight, which offers a concise perspective on global financial markets with an ESG lens, and the IIF Global Debt Monitor, which looks across mature and emerging economies for debt-related vulnerabilities such as the rapid buildup in EM corporate debt levels. Her policy work on behalf of the IIF includes outreach and liaison efforts vis-à-vis the G20, the multilaterals, global regulators and standard setters, and the Central Banks and Supervisors Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS). She also serves on the Board of the Regional Center for Sustainable Finance (RCSF).
Sonja has spent over 20 years in banking and financial markets, most recently with Nomura International in London, where she was Chief Equity Strategist. Earlier positions include stints as a U.S. economist and bank credit analyst in New York and Los Angeles. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) has an MBA and BA from the University of California, Berkeley. Sonja’s work is widely cited in the financial press; she is a regular speaker on sustainable finance and global debt issues at industry conferences and in the media. She also hosts the popular series of IIF Climate Finance Workshops and ESG Webinars.
Adam C.T. Matthews
Chief Responsible Investment Officer, Church of England Pensions Board / Chair, Transition Pathway Initiative
Introductory:
Adam is the Chief Responsible Investment Officer (CRIO) at the Church of England Pensions Board; Together with the CIO he is the co-Director of the Investment Team. He is also the Chair of the $45 trillion in AUM backed Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI) and a Board Member of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, (IIGCC). He co-leads sector engagement with the mining and steel sectors for the global investor engagement initiative, Climate Action 100+. He Chairs the Mining 2030 which is developing an Investor Agenda to address systemic challenges to mining and the low carbon transition.
Further Information:
Following the Brumadinho Tailings Dam disaster in Brazil in January 2019, Adam set up and chairs the $20 trillion supported Mining and Tailings Safety Initiative with John Howchin, Ambassador to the Initiative. He also represented the UN backed Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) in the development of the first Global Tailings Standard, and now co-convenes together with the UN the international process to establish an Independent Global Tailings Management Institute to verify implementation of the standard and to drive safety standards across the mining industry. As part of his work with the industry he is Chair of Mining 2030 which is developing an investor agenda for 2030 addressing systemic challenges to mining and the low carbon transition.
As part of his work as Co-Chair of the Corporate Programme at IIGCC Adam has led the development of the first Net Zero Standard for the Oil and Gas sector and is leading the development of a similar standard for the diversified mining sector.
Adam founded the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI) which is an asset owner-led and asset manager-supported global initiative which assess companies’ preparedness for the transition to the low carbon economy (and publishes this through the London School of Economics.) He also set up and co-chaired with the Dutch fund APG the Paris Aligned Investing Initiative that has produced the first global Net Zero Investment Framework for pension funds and investment managers. He now co-chairs with APG the global Board of the Paris Aligned Investing Initiative comprising all regional investor networks.
Yukari Yamashita

Yukari Niwa Yamashita is a Managing Director for the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ), in Charge of the Energy Data and Modelling Center which is responsible for quantitative and qualitative analyses on energy policy issues. Her team’s analyses and recommendations contribute greatly to debate and policy making for Japan and international communities such as ERIA, APEC and IEA. The annual IEEJ's Outlook is globally recognized for its timely analyses and pragmatic approach towards climate change.
She has been serving as a member of various government councils and committees in the fields of energy and science & technologies. She also led miscellaneous international and regional programs in the area of energy cooperation through IEA, APEC, ERIA and IPEEC. She is a visiting professor at Kyushu University. She served as the 2020 President of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) and is the 2022 Past President.
Hideki Takada

Mr. Takada has been working as a government official at the Ministry of Finance since 1995. He has had a wide range of experience in policy-making at the heart of the government including public finance, tax, trade policies and financial services. During over 20 years of his career he spent 5 years in the UK: study at Cambridge and LSE (1997-99), and secondment to HM Treasury (the UK finance ministry, 2003-06) where he worked on financial regulation, investment market policies and public spending.
In 2009, Mr. Takada became the first staff of the newly created National Policy Unit and worked in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Cabinet Secretariat as an architect of the new public finance framework and as a private advisor to the Prime Minister. After having held senior positions in the Finance Minister’s Secretariat responsible for overall coordination and public relations of the Ministry, he was seconded to the OECD, Paris, where he worked as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Green Finance and Investment team, Environment Directorate, from 2015 to 2018.
After his return to Tokyo, Mr. Takada worked at the IR Promotion Office, Cabinet Secretariat (2018-20), the Civil Service Remuneration and Benefits Division, Budget Bureau, Ministry of Finance (2020- March 2021), and the newly established Climate Change Office at the Cabinet Secretariat (March – July 2021). From July 2021, he works as the Director for Budget responsible for local government finance at the Budget Bureau, Ministry of Finance. From 2022, as a concurrent post, Mr. Takada also works as the Director for Strategy Development at the Financial Services Agency, responsible for financial market policies including promotion of international financial centres and sustainable finance.
Alongside his official jobs, in his private capacity, Mr. Takada launched the Green Finance Network Japan (GFNJ) in 2018 as its Secretary General. The GFNJ is an informal network that brings together key players on green finance in Japan from both public and private sectors and provides a platform for collaborating with international stakeholders.

Tony Rooke

Dr Tony Rooke is responsible at GFANZ for delivering financial institution's expectations of real economy organisations transition planning, and helping financial institutions to understand and apply sectoral pathways in their net zero targets, actions and monitoring.
He joined GFANZ from WTW in April 2022, where he was Senior Director for Transition Risk, led net-zero transition, TCFD and decarbonisation strategy advisory, and helped formulate the principles and methodology for the transition plan accreditation scheme: Climate Transition Pathways.
Tony has over 24 years of global experience in climate change, sustainability, strategy, advisory and programme delivery. Prior to WTW, he was global Director for Disclosure at CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) responsible for defining, delivering and assessing climate disclosures from over half of the world's companies by market capitalisation, and thousands of cities globally. He has led sustainability consulting practices, and conceived and led an award winning environmental programme at Logica.
Keigo Akimoto

Keigo Akimoto was born in 1970. He received Ph.D. degree from Yokohama National University in 1999. He joined Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth (RITE) in 1999, and since 2012, he is the Leader of the Group and a chief researcher at RITE. He was a guest professor, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the University of Tokyo between FY2010 and 2014, and a Lead Author for the Fifth and Sixth Assessment Report of IPCC. He is a member for several advisory bodies on energy and environmental policy for Japanese government including Strategic policy committee, Advisory committee for natural resources and energy; and Global environment subcommittee, Industrial structure council; Calculation Committee for Procurement Price for renewable energies; Taskforce for Formulating Roadmaps for Promoting Transition Finance in the Economy and Industry (Chair). His scientific interests are in modeling and analysis of energy and environment systems. He received the Peccei Scholarship from IIASA in 1997.
Hitoshi Dohnomae

Dr. Dohnomae has been General Manager, Environment Division of Nippon Steel Corporation and Chair of International Environmental Strategic Committee of Japan Iron and Steel Federation since 2019.
He joined Nippon Steel Corporation and was assigned to a researcher in Advanced Technology Research Laboratories in 1988. He was Head of Environment Research Laboratory in 2015. Since 2019, he has been in charge of global environmental affairs at Nippon Steel Corp.
He received master's degree in chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Kyoto University in 1994, Doctor of Science from Kyoto University in 1993, and Professional Engineer, Japan (Applied Science) in 2013.
Kevin Ranney
Senior Vice President, Corporate Solutions, Sustainalytics
Kevin has 25 years’ experience in the field of responsible and sustainable investment. He currently leads the development and maintenance of Sustainalytics’ sustainable finance taxonomy and its methodology for the assessment of sustainability-linked instruments, which together form the foundation of the firm’s second-party opinion services to issuers of green, social and sustainability-linked bonds. Previously, he led methodology development in several product areas and worked with a wide variety of asset owners and investment managers on projects ranging from ESG strategy development to the creation of customized frameworks to measure ESG-related risk and impact. He has participated in numerous industry initiatives related to the development of market standards and practice for sustainable finance. He is a former director of the board of Canada’s Responsible Investment Association and of Oikocredit Canada.
Takashi Kondo

After graduating from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Economics, Takashi Kondo joined the Bank of Japan (BOJ) in 2006 and started his career as an economist/researcher. After obtaining the MA in Economics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Graduate of Economics in 2012, he returned to the BOJ and served in various positions, such as conducting Japan’s macro economy and contributing to Basel III policy development and implementation in multiple Basel Committee working groups, as a representative of the BOJ. Before taking up his current position at the Ministry of the Environment, he was responsible for conducting research and maintaining statistics on Japan’s payments and settlement systems including FinTech, as a director.
Moving to the Ministry of the Environment in 2020, he has been serving as Director for a special team to design and implement policies for promoting Japan’s ESG finance.
Towards the goal of mainstreaming the sustainable finance market in Japan, he and his team keep communicating and discussing with market participants and stakeholders.
Yuji Fujiwara

Yuji FUJIWARA is the Country Manager for Japan at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), based in Tokyo, Japan.
He is responsible for IATA’s activities in Japan, focusing on serving the airline members’ and stakeholders’ needs. Noriko Ogawa

Responsible for formulation of the JAL Group Code of Conduct "Commitment to Society" and JAL Group Environmental Policy, establishment of Environmental Management System (EMS), and promotion of specific strategies based on JAL Group ESG management to achieve the SDGs. In June 2020, the JAL Group announced that it aims to achieve net zero CO2 emissions by 2050, by upgrading its aircraft to fuel-efficient models that emit less CO2, reducing CO2 emission in daily operations, and developing and using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
In March 2022, JAL issued the world’s first Transition Bonds in the aviation industry to upgrade fuel efficient aircrafts which reduce the amount of CO2 emissions by 15% to 25% compared with conventional aircrafts. The JAL Group will continue to work toward net zero CO2 emissions in order to pass on our precious Earth to the next generation.

Sami Jauhiainen

Saori Takahashi

After working for KPMG Management Consulting, she became a manager in the Japan Research Institute, a major Japanese think tank, where she led various government funded research projects and consulting projects on sustainable finance and corporates’ sustainability. Since she took the role of Deputy Director at Financial Services Agency, Government of Japan, she has been actively participating in global policy discussions on sustainable finance at working groups of Financial Stability Board (FSB) and the Network of Central Banks and Supervisors for Greening the Financial System (NGFS). Co-translated “Principles of Sustainable Finance” into Japanese.
Kazuo Sakairi

Prior to taking his current position on April 1,2019, Mr. Sakairi was managing director and head of the Asia region for GCA Corporation (GCA).
He has over 25 years’ experience of M&A advisory working for leading Japanese financial institutions as well as for GCA.
Mr. Sakairi began his career at The Bank of Tokyo (currently MUFG Bank) in 1987 and was transferred to the investment banking group in New York in 1995 for advising various types of cross border M&A transactions.
After he came back to Japan in 2002, he was promoted to lead MUFG Securities’ corporate advisory team for the construction, real estate, transportation, logistics and consumer retail sectors.
He joined GCA in June 2006 and has advised a wide range of M&A transactions types ad sectors in both buy-side and sell-side as well as distressed and restructuring transactions.
He also participated in the establishment of JERA as an advisor from 2013.
He was appointed CFO of JERA Co., Inc. in April 2019.

Jakob Thomae
Co-founder and Executive Director, 2° Investing Initiative
Jakob Thomae is one of the leading global experts on sustainable finance and long-term risks. He co-founded the 2° Investing Initiative network in New York and Berlin and serves as Executive Director of 2° Investing Initiative Deutschland.
Jakob led the development of the first methodology in the world to measure the alignment of financial portfolios with climate goals (PACTA). PACTA remains the most widely used alignment methodology in the world, endorsed by a number of governments and financial supervisors to track financial sector alignment.
In 2020, Jakob launched the 1in1000 research programme designed to integrate complex and long-term risks into financial supervision and decision-making. As part of the programme, Jakob authored the first COVID-19 stress-test scenarios, informing the regulatory response of supervisors in Europe and the United States to the crisis. His work has also informed the climate stress-test scenario design of major central banks and financial supervisors.
Jakob is Research Fellow to the Japanese Financial Services Agency, and previously served as Academic Advisor to the Bank of England and EIOPA. He holds a PhD in Finance from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers. Jakob is also Senior Fellow at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, where he teaches a Green Finance course.
Motoshi Tomita

Motoshi Tomita involves various research projects on sustainable finance, including environmental policies, climate-related financial risks, corporates’ strategies to transition to carbon neutrality, climate-related disclosures, etc. He is also participating in the development of policies and standards related to sustainable finance, including the first international ISO standard on sustainable finance (ISO 32100), as an expert.
He earned his Ph.D. in forest ecology. Before he started to research on sustainable finance, he worked on research about environmental impact assessment (mainly focused on flora, fauna, and ecosystems) associated with power plant projects in Japan and developed countries.

Graduated in Economics and Management at the University of Palermo and specialization in Administration, Finance and Control at Luiss; after a series of assignments in Enel in the audit department, she deals now with ESG issues related to Enel sustainability plan, reporting, indexes and Human Rights coordinating related activities in the different countries of the Group. She is currently a member of the GSSB of the GRI, of the Board of Directors of Enel Americas and of the EFRAG taskforce for the elaboration of EU sustainability reporting standards.
Mats Rinaldo
Deputy Director of Energy Transition Programme, DNV
Mats holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University and a Master of Science in Marine Technology from NTNU in Trondheim, Norway. Mats has spent most of his professional career at DNV. His experience includes various positions within DNV’s Maritime, Software, Business Assurance and Sustainability Business Areas, located in Australia, Japan and currently now in Oslo, Norway. Mats’s previous positions include Director of Operations for DNV's third party services within UNFCCC's carbon market mechanisms and DNV Software Country Manager in Japan. In 2017 Rinaldo transferred into the Energy Transition Programme in DNV Group Research and Development. His work there focuses on understanding the global energy transition towards 2050 and finding solutions to challenges involving energy, technology and climate change.
Miho Kurosaki
Independent Climate Change/ESG Specialist
Miho has 15 years of experience in ESG and climate change and advised policy makers
including ministers, investors, companies on their ESG and climate change strategies
based on analysis and data. She has managed a diversified team in Tokyo but also
worked with global teams at Bloomberg. Miho has delivered many public speeches
including committees with Japan’s Prime Minister and moderated international panel
discussions such as in the G20.
Miho holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BA
in Economics from Keio University in Tokyo.
Simon Connell

Simon is Global Head of Sustainability Strategy at Standard Chartered. In this role he leads the Bank’s external engagement, co-ordinates internal action on sustainability across the organisation with a specific focus on climate change and human rights, and leads the Bank’s ESG disclosures.
Simon has over a decade’s experience in helping banks understand and manage environmental and social risks and opportunities presented by their client portfolios, holds a BSc in Politics with Economics and is a qualified Corporate Treasurer and Management Accountant. He is Chair of the University of Cambridge’s Banking Environment Initiative, and Steering Group Chair of the UN-convened Net Zero Banking Alliance.
Keith Tuffley
Vice Chairman, Global Co-Head, Sustainability & Corporate Transitions, Citi
- Keith is the Global Co-Head of Citi’s Sustainability & Corporate Transitions Group. In this role, Keith leads Citi’s sustainability engagement with its corporate clients, supporting them with strategic and M&A advice, financing and capital markets solutions, and investor engagement, as they transition their businesses towards more sustainable models.
- Prior to Citi, Keith was the CEO of The B Team, an NGO comprised of a group of 24 CEO’s of global companies, leading entrepreneurs, and civil society leaders to drive a better way of doing business. Keith was an active participant in the Paris Climate Agreement process and the launch of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and led the creation of the first “net-zero companies” in 2015. He was a Founding Board Member of the We Mean Business climate coalition.
- Keith was the Head of Investment Banking, a Partner, and Board Member of Goldman Sachs in Australia. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, he was a Managing Director at UBS. Keith commenced his career as a commercial lawyer for Allen Allen & Hemsley.

Tomohiro Ishikawa
Managing Director, Head of Government & Regulatory Affairs Office, MUFG
Tomo Ishikawa heads the Government and Regulatory Affairs Office at MUFG. Ishikawa is responsible for orchestrating group-wide advocacy strategy on financial regulatory policies, including prudential requirements, conduct-related rules, and climate change. He also oversees recovery/resolution planning for the group, and government relations across the regions. Prior to his current role, Ishikawa headed MUFG’s Regulatory Strategy team for the EMEA region, based in London.
Ishikawa serves as a board member of GFMA (Global Financial Markets Association), representing MUFG. As part of MUFG’s sustainability/climate change strategy, Ishikawa serves as a member of the Steering Group of NZBA (Net Zero Banking Alliance). He also chairs a working group called “NZBA Financing & Engagement” focusing on scaling up transition finance.
Until January 2017, Ishikawa worked as the head of “digital branch” within the Government & Regulatory Affairs Division at Deutsche Bank AG (based in London), where he led the advocacy engagement on technology & digital related policies.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Ishikawa served as Deputy Director of Prudential Policy Office at Financial Services Agency of Japan (Japan FSA). He chaired the work stream (WS1) under the Working Group on Margin Requirement (WGMR), reporting to the BCBS and the IOSCO Board, with the mandate to harmonize margin rules across the regions.
Ishikawa started his professional career at Merrill Lynch as an investment banker. After 12 years at Merrill Lynch (Tokyo and NY), he moved to RECOF Corporation (a Japanese M&A boutique), and then to Deutsche Bank (financial institutions coverage banker based in Tokyo). He has 15 years of experience as a “FIG” investment banker, prior to becoming a regulatory policy expert.
Ishikawa graduated from Keio University (Tokyo, Japan) in 1996. He lived in Toronto, Canada, prior to studying economics at Keio.

Emily Woodland is APAC Co-Head of Sustainable Investing at BlackRock. Her team oversees strategy and implementation of BlackRock's sustainable offerings in APAC. Emily previously served as the Head of Sustainable Investment for AMP Capital, and Investment Advisor for Asia Debt Management's sustainable investment programs. Her expertise in sustainability is grounded in over 16 years of APAC investment management experience with UBS, across several asset classes and investment styles. Emily holds a Bachelor's Degree in Financial & Business Economics from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, a Masters Degree in Corporate Environmental Governance from the University of Hong Kong, and is a CFA Charterholder.

She has been responsible for incorporating ESG approaches into the entire portfolio of Dai-ichi Life Insurance, which totals about 38 trillion yen, and for promoting global sustainability at Dai-ichi Life Holdings, Inc.
Since she joined Dai-ichi Life in 2013, she has played a leadership role regarding stewardship activities and in promoting sustainable finance not only at Dai-ichi Life but also in Japan. Before joining Dai-ichi, she was Deputy President of a regional bank in Japan, CFO of a listed Human Resource consulting company, and board director of several companies owned by a private equity fund. She also had a variety of experiences on the policymaking side, such as her membership in working groups convened by METI, MOF and MOE. She is a board member of the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment’s Japan Advisory Board and is Co-Chair of the APAC Investor Advisory Group of Value Reporting Foundation.
Satoshi Ikeda
Chief Sustainable Finance Officer,

In March 2019, the Financial Services Agency of Japan (JFSA) decided to create the position of Chief Sustainable Finance Officer (CSFO), to plan and coordinate on promotion of sustainable finance internally and globally. Upon its creation he was appointed, and has been serving, as the first CSFO.
In this capacity, he covers a wide range of issues concerning sustainable finance which include, among other things, aligning private finance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting TCFD disclosures by business corporations and financial institutions alike, acting as Vice-chair of the Impact Investing Roundtable and JFSA and Co-chair of the Transition Finance Working Group at the International Platform on Sustainable Finance (IPSF).
