Welcome Message

I am Ritsuko Pooh, the President of The 4th Annual Congress of Japan Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (JSUOG).
This Congress will be held as an ISUOG approved course, officially recognized by the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) Headquarters.

JSUOG started its activities in 2020 with fellow ultrasound practitioners or the purpose of international development and exchange of ultrasound medicine in the field of obstetrics and gynecology in Japan, and the cooperative relationship with ISUOG has deepened year by year. As a Trustee and Ambassador to Asia of ISUOG, I feel it is my mission to support the activities of obstetrics and gynecology ultrasound in Japan and Asia.

Under the theme of "Connecting the World through Ultrasound," this year's congress aims to send out messages from Asia to the world and to produce more and more young doctors who can engage in discussions on the international stage. The highlight of the congress, to be held in Osaka again this year, will be special lectures and live scan hands-on sessions by renowned lecturers from around the world, including Dr. Rabih Chaoui from Germany, who will be visiting Japan for the first time.
On Friday, March 14, 2025, we will be holding a "Pre-Congress: Meet the Experts of ISUOG," where Dr. Rabih Chaoui and other experts will give a live scan demo in front of the participants using actual ultrasound machines and simulation equipment, as well as directly instructing participants on actual scans. The hands-on training will be held for a limited number of participants, with experts directly guiding participants through actual scans using actual ultrasound machines and simulation equipment.
On March 15-16, 2025, the Main Congress will be held, and we are confident that this will be an opportunity for lively discussions with many lectures by doctors who are active both in Japan and abroad.

Dr. Rabih Chaoui is a sought-after expert in fetal ultrasound not only at ISUOG but around the world. Much will be learned by actually watching his scans, and he will share many valuable tips. There are very few opportunities to learn directly from Dr. Chaoui even at ISUOG, and this project in JSUOG is unique all over the world. Come see and learn from his legendary scans what you can't learn from books or webinars.

Since many participants from Asian countries are expected to attend this year's congress, English will be the only language used. All lectures, oral presentations and discussions will be in English.
We are looking forward to seeing you all in March 2025 at this exciting venue.
We look forward to your participation.
